The soundtrack for killing yourself or someone else has arrived in the form of the new Drop Dead, Gorgeous, The Hot N' Heavy. This sinister LP is the sure thing, as this will cause you to want to kill something. Now, this is not a slam, this is a compliment because if I was raising my machete to draw blood then the lead off track “Killing A Classic” is what I want to hear….. They are a few LPs deep into their career and this will be the one to define them in the long run. The hammer heavy riffs are nonstop and Danny Stillman’s vocals are tortured almost to a fault as if a knife was boring into your skull but I did mention the killing part did I not? I like the way Danny sings, he is committed to his delivery as if he means it and means to off you in the process. The songs are demented in their intentions and are not shortcoming in the lyrical department. Take “The Internet Killed The Video Star”, the line “You fucked with the wrong son of a bitch”, take that line and his vocals, severely messed up, deranged, however you take it. Danny sounds as if he is singing with a butcher knife twisting into his stomach while his band is playing brain frying metal behind him. This is the album to play to piss off your neighbors and I can attest to that because I have already done it. Kyle on Guitars, Jake on Bass and Danny on drums make up a colossal outfit that play heavy music with off time melodies and zero rules. If you do not limit your boundaries then you must partake of this release.
