God damn I love good thrash metal. I get goosebumps just thinking about how awesome it is to discover another group of shredders that really peels back the flesh from my face. The ultra abrasive hate tank from Japan known as Grief of War has certainly reaffirmed that wonderful feeling. Great Scott, this album is nothing short of "Fuckin' A" from the get go. I had this blasting through my skull while I mowed my lawn, and never have I had such malicious intentions toward grass. I felt motivated and a bit on the violent side with "Worship" turning my earphones into mortar launchers to blow my mind to kingdom come. It's just a good thing I was killing that yard work, because good thrash will damn sure give you some nervous energy that needs to be dealt with physically. Think Kreator with a little old school Metallica and you just about get the jist of the situation. Speed and proficient technical aggression are what makes this album so darn brilliant, but throw some great lyrics in there and you have a bonafide masterpiece. That's just what you get here, a masterpiece. I can assure you that this one is staying in my musical device for a while. My face has been melted and my mind has been blown. Cleanup on aisle 666 !
