WHEN...

Jeff Buckley
Grace

Oasis
Definitely Maybe

This month is the start of a project that will be called "When You Were Young". I will review an album, possibly two, in excess of ten years age since its release date. We will be going by month, and I might even throw in an interesting tidbit of info that also happened during this time of year back some time ago. It's a little idea of mine to happily remind us how old we really are. Let's try it out, shall we?

August Reviews:

15 years ago, in August 1994, a couple major releases that had quite an influence on music to come stocked the stores. Amongst them were the two I've selected: Definitely Maybe by Oasis, and Grace by Jeff Buckley. Both were debut albums, and both would, in their own ways, go on to be incredibly influential and make major headway in the popular music world.

That's all we have on reviews for this month in history.

*NOTES* Interesting tidbits of history from 1994: Grace Slick arrested for waving shotgun in face of cops, Sinatra wins Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys, and Kurt Cobain kills himself. A banner year for popular music. We'll see you next time to find out what else happened when you were young.
